PTA won the interior design competation in zhangjiang

Pta is excited to share the latest winning interior competition for two of the most iconic landmarks in Shanghai: Zhangjiang plot 76-02 and plot 77-02. The client is zhangjiang group.

Zhangjiang Science City New District is about 15 kilometers away from the Lujiazui Business District and about 20 kilometers away from Pudong International Airport. Situated in the new Zhanjiang district, this office space is set to become one of the most attractive spaces in this newly built district. The project will add not only square meters, but new and exciting working and coworking spaces: an active place, not only for the daytime, but also for the nighttime.

The interior design takes inspiration from the building façade, re-interpreting geometry and proportion, and softly transits from outdoor to indoor space. The development of plot 76-02 consists of one tower of 150 meters high and two towers for residential, respectively 100 and 50 meters high. Plot 77-02, instead, is composed of office towers where the highest is 100 meters . the two blocks are covering an area of approximative of 135,000 square meters.

The design behind the Zhanjiang was to create an open and interconnected complex conscious of innovation, and reflecting the characteristics of mid-to-high-end commercial needs. The overall concept looks at space optimization and a comfortable pedestrian flow. With a green concept for all of the towers and the surrounding landscapes, the two plots are facing the Sunjiazhai River system, extending along the north-south direction, giving waterfront characteristics to the urban space in this area. Zhongke Road, which extends from east to west, forms the commercial center of Science City as a bustling avenue. Waterways, ponds, wetland parks and meandering rivers cover the entire area, helping to create a comfortable and pleasant city space adjacent to the planned wetland park to the south.
